The physics department of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has received a research grant of Rs 2.5 crore from the Centre under the “Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology Infrastructure in the Universities and Institutions” (FIST) scheme.

Himachal Pradesh Shimla University

The Himachal Pradesh University came into existence on 22 July 1970. It is relatively a new university and is graded ‘A’ class by the University Grants Commission (UGC) grading system.
