Today shimla received the first snowfall of the season. The whole city is covered by a thick white blanket of Snow. The tourists are the happiest at the moment and were seen enjoying in the snow, throwing snowballs at each year. Thousands of tourists come to Shimla on Christmas and new year holidays to see the snowfall but the snow has evaded the tourists during these days for the past many years.
The higher reaches of Shimla like Jakhoo temple and Kufri is under more than six inches of snow. This snowfall is beneficial for the apple crop also.
